Ten two and one

asked for given and sent

Faith our beliefs

Faith or beliefs, they are a very important too who we are, Many hold to traditions taught by family, church or school.  We follow them without question. Justifying our actions with the unwavering doctrines found in our beliefs.

Few ask where these beliefs or traditions came from; They are simply accepted.

It is important to ask, seek for to accept any man's word with out question; is the folly of fools, for only a fool follows blindly.

We have accepted many doctrines as fact.

We are told to learn .

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I pass it now to you...Love one another

GOD said Let there be light

I ask you to be a new light.... the light of true reason.

A light of truth must also shine , for darkness can fall at any time

The first four of the Ten which so many say offend deal with ...

These first four deal with our relationship with G-d:

The first says or states have but one G-d , The great I am, that I am, who sent Moses into Egypt

We can not serve two masters,

The second says do not make or bow down to any graven images.

Now the image part is where many a man and woman has the biggest problem; so many peoples want something to pray to.to focus on.  So they have a certain place to go; a certian time a ritual, many have a little niche, where their god sits, this way out of site out of mind; they can file away their god. Even those who say they have no god worship something; have made somethong ; they may follow  a daily ritual of some sort ,  seek self pleasure; have an item; so in not having a god they make themslevs self important or a thing.. They edify and glorify self or a thing.  yes, the self the thing then is god.  As to  Bowing down.  Well we human's have this idea; if we do certain rites or a certain paterns in our worship or none worship if you like; it makes us clean and pure; so bowing down and making funnny noises or chanting may get your gods attention but then Ezekiel taunted the priest of Baal for doing just that.

The third is do not take the name of your G-d in vane, do not swear by the great I am, for in thus swearing one makes himself out to be a liar, let your own word be your bond;wow what a concept, the simple side of this one is this: we are expected to stand on our word; before G-d and before men; so we must let our yes be for yes, no for no.

Well that now brings us to the fourth; I love this one;  so should every man and woman for it directs us; it says we all deserve  a day of rest.

So well I find it hard to be offended at being told I need a day of f;  a day of rest . hey, but a day off may, no is accoding to many a liberating liberal for it does offend; for it is contained in the reviled ten.  but hey some peoples just can not read and see they have no sense.

Those who hate the ten claim they the ten promote dis-harmony and fuel hate, but do they?

What we are shown in the first four of the ten are our responsibility to others, we are asked to make hard choices, simply we are asked to chose what we deem important , we are not being forced to do anything. we are being asked to decide what is important to us how we will deal with others and told that our word matters.

The next six; of the offending ten, deal with our Relationships with each other, So why are they, what is it that is offending?

Are these offending for they teach a religion (which religion is being taught) or do they really teach; respect for others? Responsibility? If that be it then what then is offending?

1. You shall (you the individual should) honor (respect, admire, revere, love) your Father and your mother,

Honor has been defined in our dictionary’s with over twenty different meanings, all dealing with varied ways with the ideas denoting the receiving of or the granting of or the showing of the differing types of respect for others, so is teaching and promoting respect now deeming? Is it that hurt full and mean spirited?

Those who hate the ten and their display say it is.

Wow! What a concept! That to those who oppose the ten that it is deeming for one to give their parents respect, that is what one feels it is; what one means if one hates the TEN...

After this, we come too number two in the list of six much hate and despised

2.  You shall not do murder; an interjection here why does this one come after honor of one parents? we define murder in varied ways. In some ways, it seems we now admire the murder who takes an innocent life.

We as a nation choose our definitions of life. Therefore, murder is placed in categories with various levels dehrees of or stages of murder.

We do this in our daily lives also on how we feel,

[Perhaps that is why this one offends.)

Murder is a choice, something planned and thought out.

Therefore, if one plans the destruction of another human life it is murder.

Wow! An odd concept planning to take a life is murder,

What an idea; murder is a choice an action...

Next is this something for husband and wives, couples who have stood before God and pledged their lives to the ideals in the marriage vows.

3. you shall not commit adultery, we as a people enjoy watching actors and actress prance around, doing what many of us only imagine, yet even in our imagining we sometime feel a twinge of guilt, so is that why this is offending? We are told not to even enter into the semblance of these things. For as the mind goes so goes the man. Alternatively, woman, adultery is not just between the man and the woman it is the whole of the family, it hurts everyone in that unit, and I wonder why this of all the rest follows murder could it be that we are given a little unwanted insight here. Adultery is like a murder. Well one must chose one must decide. Yet over all I wonder why the liberal and the other champions of do away with the ten hate this one? Perhaps because they have or are having or hope to have an affair to act upon how they feel in a moment of what was once called lust that is now called love. Odd how we twist our words to make wrong seem right and right seem wrong.

This is followed by the fourth

4. You shall not or one should not steal. Well why is this offending? Nevertheless, it seems it is. Why? well it would keep many people out of work if we did it. Perhaps that is why it is offending , (I will inject here most of those screaming about the ten being offending are lawyers and judges could it be that, well think on it) many persons would be out of work if we did and taught this one again. stealing has many forms big and small from taking paper clips to taking time away from one spouse. Therefore, I guess we can say that stealing is in how one perceives it not on what it really is. For we must feel we are doing wrong they say before we can be wrong, perhaps that is why this one offends.

 This is followed by

5. you shall not lie, (telling stories filled with half-truths, you know white lies little a fib) we are told not to give false testimony. Here again many would be out of work, but what is false testimony does it have to do with honesty and honor? look at what is coming I wonder why they are lined up so.

All of this is summed up in this

6. you shall not covet (desire or crave) your neighbors house with a long list of items, chief amongst them again his wife or her husband so on down the list we go.

The preceding all deal with our relationships with our family community; our daily personal interaction. with others.

However, the four, which precede these terrible six, are again separated with this:

Six day shall you labor and get all your work done, for the seventh day is a day of rest.

So here it states that no one not even your slaves will do any work, this is offending.

Why? We as a people abolished slavery one hundred and fifty years ago, perhaps this is why.  so many of the, well those who would like to return to as they say a simpler times are so put off by the ten.  thus, hate this one. how many companies that have twenty-four seven workdays would like to see the one-day rule done away with? For it is offending is it not. Think of it you shall have one day of rest from all your labors, what a terrible thing to teach..

Doing this would not cost millions. its already in place but.

it does offend the pocket books, the bottom line.

So if we get rid of it; have no more days off.

For having one and taking, it is symbolic of teaching and affirming a religion. It justifies the ten…..

Before this comes the kickers, the sticky points those three on which those claiming offense depend.

Here again I ask you again read; Those words found written in that dusty book on that shelf.

Then ask yourself what religion, what god, are you being forced to worship.

If you read you see, you are never forced you must come willingly; forced takes away choice,

That the hated ten is a contract is a thing a lawyer can understand, it contains the why’s and wherefore with all their many stipulations.  the grantor asks that they the signor have no other G-ds before him. If they agree, he makes certain promises. that they make no images, nor bow down, and do honor in any way to any idol, ( I wonder if that includes the new cars ?) Again, if they agree he makes certain promises to them again.  last he or the writer states or asks; that they do not swear by or on him but let their yes be yes or their no be no, simply keep their word. Stand up be responsible for what they do or do not do.

Look around for yourself, we all pick and choose what we desire; what fuels our inner fire, now we are letting a few tell us we do not need to aspire to something just a little higher than our self..  We silently agree that the ten offend and in Christian love we must not offend.

The ten teach us,

these ten remind us to put something first;

some thing or someone else ahead of self// a work in progress more to come,

A meanings hidden with-in

I include the following to offer a though to open ones eyes:

The word Hypocrite is said to be a noun, hypocritical a descriptive modifier is an adjective.  Both define, align, and reveal lines of truth or lie; a hypocrite is one who pretends, to have or believe one thing while in secret doing another, one whose actions contradict the stated facts, one who counterfeits, fakes, who fabricates a desirable or approved attitude; to acquire support of those with that belief.

Belie means to be false, to contradict, or misrepresent, an unworthy act. Old English meaning: to lie about.

Feign is to put on the appearance of, to invent to deceptively tell a story or make an excuse, a make believe story told to portray one as something they are not, to pretend.

Yes, the ever so popular is so it depends...

Do these terms define anyone?

Do they point to you?

Or some one you know perhaps?

I know many persons who claim to be Christians yet do so many things that are not what even as they say Christ like.

Their reasoning is justified by the following line: they are under grace, so if we define grace.

We have here is a fun little word.

Grace: means a favor or goodwill, an allowance of time after a debt has become payable granted the debtor before suit can be brought or penalties applied,( remember the wages of sin is death) this leads us to the synonym of Lenity: the quality or state of being mild or gentle, a lenient act.(forgiveness)which means  also lends its self to being a Pardon:

Which points to forgive or forgave. But an important item is always over looked once granted this pardon ,given by his grace carries a stipulation you are told not to do as you did before do not enter back into your sin or this His grace is of no effect.

It is sad that so many claims are made for a thing they do not have. Sadder still many who would not die , die for lack of this one truth.

For they keep on doing as they wish and please; never learning right from wrong.

In simple words, they are never changed.

They have put on the appearance of and are simply as the palmist wrote

White washed tombs of no substance.

Dry bones rustling in the breeze...

Ask yourself....

So many people today are proud of the fact that they break this or that rule found in the ten.

They do  this as a way to prove that there is no G-d.

Then with shanking fist ask where is G-d , see I am not punished! I feel fine!!.

They laugh and say you who believe are fools , if there were a god as you say he would strik me down. But they do not see or hear, for if they had they would know the simple and complex truth.

That is the first response , G-d is long suffering.

Why, what does that mean?

Well in His infinite love, in his graciouse mercy; he allows us time to repent , return, and rest on him.

If you have children then you know or should know that one gives the child time to learn then change or grow, in the case of rebelion to stop  before one punishes.

But then  he also knows that many  will not.

So with his even greater love he gives them what they desire most; happiness with in their sin. He sends them a deluding spirit, that helps them justifiy their actions and keeps their eye blinded and their hearing deaf ;so they only hear the self and worship how they feel.

Just as any loving parent he wishes for nothing more than our happiness. This the many do not understand or take into account for they feel they can change the unchangable.

This is not a new christian idea it it is found written in the words of the prophets.
